Airbrush Sunless Tanning
What is the Sun Brush System?
It is a UV free airbrush method to quickly provide you with a natural golden brown color.
wouldHow does it tan the skin?
The active ingredient in the sunless spray is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA reacts with the proteins in the top layer of the skin to produce a tan and darkens with repeat applications.
How safe is DHA?
DHA has been approved by the FDA for over 30 years and is widely used in today's tanning lotions and products.
Will it turn me orange or streaky?
NO! Our unique blend of DHA along with the custom airbrush application will give a gradual, even natural bronze color.
When will I notice results?
The solution will produce immediate results which will continue to develop over the next few hours.
How long does it last?
A good base spray lasts 5-7 days with a gradual fading over the next couple days. Results can vary depending on several factors such as smoothness or flakiness of the skin, dry or oily skin and the after-care.
How long does it take?
It normally takes 5-8 minutes to apply the sunless solution to the full body. Allow 5-10 minutes for solution to dry before dressing. This ensures that no streaking will occur.
How should I prepare for the spray session?
Shower, exfoliate, shave. Do NOT apply any moisturizer, oils or deodorant for maximum results. Wear loose fitting dark clothes (a button up shirt and comfortable pants are best...) Tight fitting clothing may rub some of the application and create an uneven area. Avoid silk or dressy clothing.
You can wear underclothing or swimwear while being sprayed.
What if the spray gets on my clothes?
A small amount of spray may rub off on your clothes, however it will easily wash out.
What can I expect during the airbrush session?
Follow the instructions of the airbrush technician. They will direct you as to body positioning and turning. Its important that you NOT touch your skin where it has been sprayed until after it has dried. When the spraying is finished, the technician will go over your skin with a blow dryer to be sure your skin is dry before having you dress.
How soon can I shower after my spray?
We highly recommend waiting at least 8 hours before showering. Waiting longer is better. The DHA needs time to develop a bond on the skin surface where oxygen will pass through and tan color will continue to deepen. Its best not to do any exercising or activity that will cause you to sweat during this time. When showering after your spray its important to clean your skin gently. For best results, let the water lightly spray over your skin. You'll see some of the bronzer washing off your skin --don't worry! This is excess solution your skin doesn't need. Exfoliating should NOT be done at this time or you will greatly diminish your dark tan results.
When is it the best time to get airbrushed for a special occasion?
It's best to get airbrushed 1-2 days before the special event so the color has time to bond to your skin and take hold. This will also reduce any fade off onto clothing. You'll look like you have just returned from a vacation!
Will this tan provide protection from sunburn?
NO, this is a totally cosmetic tan and does not provide the sun protection gained from a UV produced tan.
How do I maximize the life of my sunless tan?
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Since DHA colors the surface cells, the slower your skin cells turn over and are shed, the longer your color will last.
Can I use the sunless system and tan in a UV bed on the same day?
YES, however, if you choose to do this you should use the UV bed first. This will avoid altering your sunless results due to perspiration.
Who can use the Sunless System?
Very fair people who have trouble developing a tan in the sun, people who want to be tan immediately, people with hard to tan spots and people who want to enhance their current tan. Although there are no known risks, we advise those who are pregnant to check with their physicians.
Is it expensive?
